Kieran woke up yesterday (on his birthday) with a increased body temperature. Poor guy 🙁 It started off at 100 F and peaked at 102 F late morning. After his nap it dropped to 100 F again and stayed there the remainder of the day. He laid on the couch ALL day and was very lethargic.
My first line of defense is always my essential oils. It is very empowering for me as a mom to have all the tools I need at my finger tips. No running out to the store to grab anything! I am diligent at applying the oils when my kids come down with something.
Bad bug oil routine
- Drink lots of liquids; water, coconut water, nettle tea.
- dōTERRA Peppermint Touch roller down his spine every 30 minutes to help cool his body
- dōTERRA Lavender Touch roller down his spine every 30 minutes to calm his body
- Immune Bomb roller (recipe below) every 30 minutes down his spine to help his body fight the crud and give him a super immune boost
- Lots of naps!
- Detox bath (recipe below) before bed

Add dōTERRA OnGuard, Melaleuca, Frankincense, Lemon and Oregano essential oils to a 10mL glass roller bottle (I prefer metal rollers). Kieran is 3 years old and I add 5-8 drops of each essential oil then top the rest of the roller with fractioned coconut oil.

Fill tub with warm water. Add 1/2 epsom salts, 1/4 baking soda, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, add 2 drops each of Frankincense and Melaleuca to castile soap. Add each to the water and mix to combine.
